Abstract

Is a field that has carried out production activities for decades, so it can be estimated that the amount of remaining oil reserves has decreased. With the decline in remaining oil reserves, it will affect the pressure in the pipeline and also affect the flow rate. The fluid flowing through a pipe that has a certain length experiences energy losses in the form of pressure drop and back pressure. This does not only occur in single-phase fluid flow, but in fact also often occurs in multiphase fluid flow. This research was conducted using the pipesim simulator to analyze the pipeline and production flow rate by considering the pressure drop in the pipe and optimizing the production flow rate. From the analysis results, a pipeline scenario was created to obtain the optimum flow rate. Field X consists of 8 active wells with a production of 943 BFPD. However, the fluid that reaches the gathering station is only 934.5 BFPD. Therefore, this research will analyze the pipeline using the pipesim simulator to find the best scenario in optimizing the production flow rate to the gathering station. From the optimization results of several scenarios, scenario 1 is the best scenario where the flowrate achieved by scenario 1 of 941.8055 BFPD is close to the production of the eight wells, namely 943 BFPD. In addition, scenario 1 also reduces the pressure drop on several pipe lines that previously experienced a high pressure drop. Changes in pipe diameter include line HB 11 from 2 inc to 3 inc, line HB 13 from 2 inc to 3.5 inc, line HB 3 from 2 inc to 6 inc, line HB 3 13 to J from 4 inc to 6, inc, line HB 4 8 10 to J from 6 inc to 8 inc, mainline 1 from 6 inc to 8 inc, and mainline 2 from 6 inc to 12 inc. Keywords: Pipeline, Pressure Drop, flowrate
