Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF REDUCTION OF RAINWATER RINSE IN SETTLEMENTS IN TANJUNG RHU SUB-DISTRICT Tanjung Rhu Village is one of the areas prone to runoff inundation in Pekanbaru City because of its location next to the Sail River and Siak River and also added that Pekanbaru City is currently entering the rainy season so that the rainwater that falls then flows through rainwater channels (drainage channels) which directly into the river without the slightest part being absorbed into the soil, this will result in disruption of the balance of the water system and hydro-ecosystem in the environment or residential area. The climatic conditions in Pekanbaru City with monthly rainfall intensities ranging from 30.20-432.80mm so that this raises the problem of runoff inundation of settlements in Tanjung Rhu Village which is affected by the flow of water flowing beyond capacity so that the research area is unable to accommodate and drain surface water (run off). off). This study uses a rational approach with Mixed Methods and the Pearson Type III Log analysis method. The purpose of this research is to determine a plan to reduce excess rainwater runoff in settlements using Low Impact Development (LID) technology. The results of the analysis show that runoff inundation is caused by the drainage network, rainfall, physiographic conditions and land cover. The intensity of rain for the 5 year return period was 46.58 mm which was classified as heavy rain. Q Rainwater runoff from settlements in Tanjung Rhu Subdistrict RW 007 has a design discharge of 0.30 m3/second while Q Rainwater runoff from settlements in Tanjung Rhu Subdistrict RW 005 has a design discharge of 0.96 m3/second. The retention pond plan to reduce runoff inundation is as many as 3 points in the research location with a total volume of 3,330 m³ with a total reservoir of 9,900 m³ with an area of 16.3 Ha. and so to reduce runoff inundation in settlement locations in Tanjung Rhu Sub-District it is planned as many as 757 infiltration wells with an infiltration volume of 21,666 m³ Runoff, Debit, Low Impact Development (LID)
