Abstract
Mulsions are stable mixtures of oil and water that do not separate due to gravity. Emulsification of water in oil is often difficult to do because there is a gap between the two liquid phases, so in this research a bottle test and field trial were carried out for the demulsification process of crude oil in field X. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of chemical demulsifier. to reduce the BS&W value <0.5%, analyze the levels of chemical reverse demulsifier which can reduce oil content levels below 25 ppm, and find out what the optimal dose is to use in well 09 and well 25 using secondary field data methodology at company X from research which was carried out previously in the On Site Bottle Test Report on April 29 and the Field Trial Report on June 5 – June 8 using the bottle test method with 5 dose levels, namely: 25 ppm, 50 ppm, 75 ppm, 100 ppm and 200 ppm in the same time observed for 120 minutes with intervals: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes. From the results of the BS&W measurements that have been carried out, the results obtained for the average BS&W on June 6 were 0.125%, then on June 7 it was 0.075% and on June 8 it was 0.136%. For the results of oil content measurements that have been carried out, the results obtained on June 6 were 13.92 ppm, on June 7 it was 17.78 ppm and on June 8 it was 8.36 ppm, so the average oil content for 3 days was obtained. amounting to 13.35 ppm.
