Abstract
Calculating the gas flow rate at a natural gas company is very important. To measure the flow rate of gas, you need a measuring instrument to obtain the flow rate, where the measurement results are used as the buying and selling value from the seller to the buyer. This requires a measuring instrument that works well and has valid accuracy. If the measuring instrument does not work well it will result in losses to the company. To determine the accuracy of the flow rate that has been measured using measuring instruments in the XX field, it is necessary to compare manual calculations, software calculations and measurement results from the ultrasonic flow meter measuring instrument on the flow computer. Because every measuring instrument is not always in good condition, and of course the measuring instrument will experience problems and need calibration, manual calculations and Kelton software simulation can be one of the calculations to get the flow rate. From all the calculations carried out, the flowrate value obtained from manual calculations is 48.442 MMSCFD, and the flowrate value based on Kelton software is 48.506 MMSCFD. Manual calculations and Kelton software also do not have a significant difference compared to the flowrate results on FlowComp. Where each flowrate value has a percentage value of 0.023% for manual calculations and 0.030% for Kelton software calculations. Then the deviation (error) value based on manual calculations is 0.008034028% and based on Kelton software is 0.00870837%. This value is still within reasonable limits where the reasonable limit range is 0.05%.
