Abstract

Workover and well service work is routine repair and maintenance work on production wells, whether in the form of replacing oil lifting equipment or changing well reservoir parameters. This is done to repair and maintain wells so that they always produce according to the determined potential. The FM-1 well is one of the wells that can still maximize its production results, but in April 2014 this well was closed because there was no more fluid being produced or it was in natural decline. Until 2019, workover work was carried out on the FM-1 well by carrying out rework moving layers which was initially at a depth of 5745 ft was then moved and perforated at a depth of 5713 ft. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an economic analysis of the workover work on the FM-1 well using the PSC Cost Recovery and Gross Split profit sharing scheme. Based on the results of the economic analysis of workover work that has been carried out, this workover work project has economic value or is feasible with an NPV value of 394 MUS$, IRR 189% and POT 0.1 year for the PSC Cost Recovery contract. For the Gross Split profit sharing scheme, the results obtained were 1483 MUS$ for NPV, 573% for IRR and 0.1 year for POT. Based on the results of the analysis of the economic indicators of workover work on the FM-1 well, the best production sharing contract for the contractor is PSC Gross Split with a cash flow of 1959 MUS$ and the best for the government is PSC Cost Recovery with a cash flow value of 3013 MUS$.
