Abstract

In the upstream oil and gas industry, increasing production from oil wells is a critical challenge. In general, oil well production tends to decrease over time due to various factors, including a decrease in the Productivity Index (PI). A low PI indicates a decrease in the well's ability to produce oil and gas, which can be caused by various things such as a decrease in pressure in the reservoir, changes in the physical characteristics of the reservoir rock, or obstruction of fluid flow in the rock pores due to the deposition of materials such as asphaltene, scale, or paraffin. An artificial lift in the form of an Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) is used in the hope of increasing well production and the productivity index value. Later preprocessing will be carried out using prosper software and future production rates will be analyzed using the DCA method to see production trends. It is hoped that the integrated implementation of these methods can increase production.
