Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFORTS OF ISLAMIC STUDIES TEACHERS IN IMPROVING STUDENTS’ ACTIVE LEARNING AT SMA IT AL HUSNA ISKI 192410179 Active learning is a method that can influence student learning outcomes. An active learning atmosphere can make students enthusiastic and confident, help students think reflectively, and foster students’ interest in learning. The aim of active learning for students is to make the students be active in learning when conducting discussions, asking questions and giving arguments related to the lesson, as well as helping students to interact with each other and explore their potential. This study aims to find out what efforts made by the Islamic Studies teachers in improving students’ active learning at SMA IT Al Husna of Pekanbaru. The data collection technique of the study is a structured interview technique based on the interview guidelines, so that it can be identified that the teachers’ efforts in improving students’ active learning are by providing opportunities for students, motivating students, teaching material in detail, educating students to think reflectively, increasing students’ interest in learning, solving their own problems (problem solving), and growing courage.
