Abstract
ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF COUNSELING GUIDANCE ON STUDENTS’ CONCENTRATION IN LEARNING ISLAMIC STUDIES BY: APRILA YOLANDA 192410154 This study is based on the problem of counseling guidance for students. Meanwhile counseling guidance is a process of helping students, whether individuals or groups, to be independent and develop and to improve students’ concentration in learning. The problem formulation of the study is how the influence of counseling gudance on students’ concentration in learning Islamic Studies subject at SMAN 1 Singingi. The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of counseling guidance on students’ concentration in learning Islamic Studies subject at SMAN 1 Singingi. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach involving 86 students as a population. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study show that based on the simple linear regression analysis, it is obtained that the significance value is less than 0.05, namely 0.02<0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is an influence of counseling guidance on students’ learning concentration. The magnitude level of influence of counseling guidance on students’ learning concentration based on the Pearson correlation is 0.108 or 10.8% in the correlation coefficient interval, which is in the range of 0.00-0.199 and included in a very low level criteria. In conclusion, there is a very low influence of counseling guidance on students’ concentration in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 1 Singingi.
