Abstract

Petroleum production in Indonesia will definitely experience a decline in production every year, especially in the Central Sumatra area which is in the S block working area, field D is one of the fields located in this area, field D was first produced in April 1974 in block S area II with an area of 1600 km2, the wells studied in this field are wells B1, B2, B3, B4 because these wells have been producing for a long time and have experienced a decline in production. Determining Decline Curve Analysis to analyze and determine the decline in well production, research needs to be carried out using the Fetkovich Overlay method as a way to determine the Economic Limit and calculate the Ultimate Recovery and remaining reserve values, for the four wells being examined the calculations will be carried out in this research using excel to determine analysis on the production rate (qo) vs (t) graph by selecting production data that shows a decrease in production data The results of the estimation of the total oil reserves in wells B1, B2, B3, B4, the Economic Limit limit reaches an average of 11 bbl/day from the four wells, well B1 with the longest life time until it reaches its qlimit limit of up to 10 years, from the limit The economic limit is set at a production of 10 bbl/day, so the value is no longer economical, the well will be closed, the resulting value (RR) for well B1 is 19429 STB and well B2 is 3292 STB, for well B3 it is 1653 STB, while well B4 is 1952 STB, for the (UR) value B1 has a UR value of 19519 STB, well B2 is 3249 STB, well B3 is 1687 STB and well B4 is 1980 STB.
