Abstract

Petroleum exploration activities are a very important stage in the OIL and GAS industry, this exploration stage requires well logging data, the results of well logging are in the form of curves that use interpretation techniques, which are used to interpret subsurface conditions, determine layers containing hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon distribution zones. Log interpretation analysis using interactive petrophysics 3.5 software. This research aims to carry out formation from log data, determine hydrocarbon prospect zones, determine shale volume, determine rock porosity, determine Movable Oil Saturation (MOS), Residual Oil Saturation (ROS), and determine the movable hydrocarbon index (MHI). In the research, there were 8 zones resulting from qualitative interpretation. In zone 1 the average porosity value is 0.16857. the average permeability was 6.2683 mD, the MOS was 0.055668, the average ROS was 0.025451, and the average MHI was 0.025451. Zone 2 has an average porosity value of 0.10214, an average permeability of 2.1975 mD, an average MOS of 0.022577, an average ROS of 0.052995, and an average MHI of 0.97495. Zone 3 has an average porosity of 0.084162, an average permeability of 0.89424 mD, an average MOS of 0.10358, an average ROS of 0.21354, and an average MHI of 0.86623. Zone 4 has an average porosity of 0.12592, an average permeability of 13,512 mD, an average MOS of 0.06279, an average ROS of 0.58949, and an average MHI of 0.86865. Zone 5 has an average porosity of 0.11525, an average permeability of 21,248 mD, an average MOS of 0.19063, an average ROS of 0.41158, and an average MHI of 0.68957. Zone 6 has an average porosity of 0.15074, an average permeability of 137.47 mD, an average MOS of 0.1083, an average ROS of 0.66472, and an average MHI of 0.69988. Zone 7 has an average porosity of 0.1419, an average permeability of 150.26 mD, an average MOS of 0.16903, an average ROS of 0.61054, and an average MHI of 0.49994. And in Zone 8, the average porosity is 0.21671, the average permeability is 294.85 mD, the average MOS is 0.15301, the average ROS is 0.64376, and the average MHI is 0.55537. Based on the MHI values ??obtained, there are 4 zones that are recommended for production in field
