Abstract
Petroleum takes a very long time, up to millions of years, to form in reservoirs. Reservoirs that are produced continuously over time will experience a decline in production so that various efforts are needed to maintain the amount of oil production, one of which is carrying out Decline Curve Analysis by plotting production flow rate data versus time to calculate the estimated amount of oil reserves and remaining remaining oil reserves, as is the case with the LD Block S Central Sumatra Basin Field which has been in production until 2014 with potential contained reserves of 20,628.34 MSTB. The LD Field still uses the primary recovery system which causes the LD Field to meet the qualifications for using the Decline Curve Analysis method in general. There are various methods that have been developed and can be used to determine the type of decline curve, one of which is the practical application of linear regression. The application of linear regression can be used to predict the reserve value close to its actual value because in the analysis process it takes into account the standard deviation which is the amount of deviation from the mathematical model results to the actual value. The results of the decline curve analysis using the linear regression method show that the LD004 Well has a remaining reserve of 29.959 MSTB and an Estimated Ultimated Recovery of 1,229.665 MSTB. LD007 well with remaining reserves of 57.674 MSTB and Estimated Ultimated Recovery of 1,444.356 MSTB. The LD009 well with remaining reserves of 56.856 MSTB and Estimated Ultimated Recovery of 1,389.049 MSTB. The LD010 well with remaining reserves of 99.364 MSTB and Estimated Ultimated Recovery of 2,071.324 MSTB.
