Abstract
This research aims to determine the application of communication patterns in improve employee performance at the Bunut Public Health Center Pelalawan Regency and the inhibiting factors in the application of communication patterns. Communication pattern is a pattern of relationship between two or more people in send and receive message in the right way so that the intended message can be understood. Employee performance is the ability to implement each job or work achievement by compare between the work results that be appointed in the organization. In this study, researcher used a qualitative descriptive method and selection of informants was determined by purposive and accidental sampling. There were 6 informants in this study, consisting of 3 employees and 3 patients at the Bunut Public Health Center. The data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation and documentation. The data validation technique used triangulation. The results of this study represented that the application of communication patterns in improve employee performance at the Bunut Public Health Center Pelalawan Regency has been effectively. The communication pattern used are chain and star pattern. There are two inhibiting factors the application of communication patterns in improve employee performance at the Bunut Public Health Center Pelalawan Regency are technical and human barriers. But this can be handled well without significantly disrupting employee performance. Based on the above, it can be seen that by applying good communication patterns will be an improve in the performance of Bunut Public Health Center employees, so as they can provide good service to patients. It expected to the head of the Bunut Health Center to do more formal and nonformal activities which aims to strengthening harmonious relations between the leader and employees of the Bunut Health Center in order to establish effective communication patterns so that can improve employee performance.
