Abstract
Oil and gas production from time to time is increasing along with the need for fuel. In the process, they are faced with a number of problems and challenges that actually make production decrease. Various methods are carried out to continue to increase oil and gas production, such as by conducting secondary recovery and EOR (Enhance Oil Recovery). Hydraulic fracturing activities are one way to increase production by injecting pressurized fluid into the formation so that it will form a new flow path and make it easier for the fluid to flow. Well X is a gas production well with a tight gas formation that has decreased production and then hydraulic fracturing activities are carried out, these activities are successfully carried out and declared to increase gas production. Well X is located in Janie Bea Shallow Gas Zone, Oklahoma, USA. Data obtained from hydraulic fracturing research in Well X in the form of final hydraulic fracturing design data, production, and operation costs, after which the economic level will be calculated using PSC cost recovery and PSC gross split contracts by considering economic indicators of NPV, IRR, and POT. The prediction of total gas production from 2022 to 2031 is 9.4 BCF. The results of the economic calculation based on the cost recovery contract obtained NPV contractor of $75,831.76 M; IRR of 24.38%; POT of 1.98 years; and PI of 1.39. While the gross split contract, obtained NPV contractor $161,746.99 M; IRR 31.60%; POT of 2.01 years; and PI of 1.83. With these economic indicators, hydraulic fracturing activities are economically valuable with the selection of gross split contracts from the contractor side
