Abstract
This study aimed to determine the influence of emotional intelligence on the Arabic learning achievement of ninth-grade students at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru. The study used a quantitative method with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The population of this study was 29 individuals, and the sample was collected using total sampling, with data gathered through questionnaires and measured using a Likert scale. The data was then processed using SPSS 25 and SPSS 29. The results of the study, based on the Simple Linear Regression Analysis test, indicated that emotional intelligence (X) did not have a significant influence on Arabic learning achievement (Y) among ninth-grade students at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru. Given the significance value of 0.226 > 0.05, the alternative hypothesis was rejected. The regression test results showed that the independent variable (X) contributed only a very small effective value to the dependent variable (Y), amounting to 0.054 or 5.4%. It can be concluded that learning achievement (Y) was only influenced by emotional intelligence (X) by 5.4%, while the remaining influence was attributed to other factors not included in this study.
