Abstract
Several additives are added to drilling cement to produce parameters that comply with API (American Petroleum Institute). One of them is an accelerator which functions to speed up cement hardening time and can increase the strength of drilling cement. Accelerators can be obtained from organic materials including egg shells, crab shells and green mussel shells. In this research, tests will be carried out to determine the effect of the accelerator derived from the CaCO3 additive resulting from the extraction of green mussel shells on the values of thickening time, compressive strength and shear bond strength of drilling cement. The variations in concentration used are 5gr, 10gr, 15gr and 20gr. Based on the research results, it shows that the ideal thickening time value is with a concentration of 15g of green mussel shell CaCO3 and pure CaCO3 which has values of 130 and 126 minutes. For compressive strength testing, the most ideal variation concentration is 15gr of green mussel shell CaCO3 and pure CaCO3 with values of 2961.46 and 3412.88 psi and for shear bond strength testing the most ideal variation
