Abstract

Puddles are a problem that often occurs on urban roads. Inundation is caused by high rainfall, inadequate drainage system and increased development land. An increase in development land can indirectly damage the air catchment area. Mangga residence 2 housing is one of the areas experiencing inundation. This study aims to analyze the value of the infiltration rate without biopore holes and with biopore holes, and find out bow many biopore holes are needed at Mangga Residence 2 Housing, Pekanbaru City. In this study, 10 samples were used, of which 5 samples were without biopore infiltration holes and 5 samples were with biopore infiltration holes with a diameter of 10 cm. Then the infiltration rate was analyzed using the Horton method. The results of infiltration testing in the field obtained an average infiltration rate without Biopore holes of 7.68 cm/hour, whereas after applying biopore holes it was 58.51 cm/hour. From this research, the number of biopore holes required is 672. So it can be concluded that the application of biopore infiltration housing holes can be applied to Mangga Residence 2 Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru.
