Abstract

The Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road structure work was designed to intersect with the position of the PT TGI pipe, the gas pipe construction is at a depth of 2 meters from the ground surface and has been around since 1998 or around 25 years, PT TGI is concerned that there will be an undesirable impact on the gas pipe due to strong vibrations during the pile driving process during the toll road structure work, These things are the basis and background for the author to conduct an analysis of the vibration acceleration produced by the pile with the aim of determining the effect of acceleration on the gas pipe and soil deformation in the area around the gas pipe owned by PT. TGI. In this study, a simplified calculation method was used that can be used to estimate the acceleration of ground vibrations as a function of distance from the pile to determine the magnitude of the resulting vibration acceleration. In this study, the author used the Root Mean Square calculation method and the Plaxis 2D Program to achieve the results of the vibration acceleration analysis. From the results and discussions that have been carried out in this study based on the results of the vibration test, the highest acceleration value produced by the vibration of pile driving is 0.1935 m/s2. While for the results of the manual calculation analysis, the value of the vibration acceleration produced by pile driving, the largest value obtained is a = 0.209752 m/s2 which in this case is still below the API 618 standard limit of 9.8 m/s2. So based on the results of the study, the potential damage that occurs due to vibration acceleration to the PT. TGI gas pipeline is still below curve 3 where the vibration acceleration caused by the pile driving work around the PT. TGI gas pipeline is still in the safe category.
