Abstract
Road damage is indicated by changes in the shape of the road surface. The impact of non-compliance with regulations set by the government will cause damage to regional road structures. Excessive load (overloading) has been proven to damage roads before the expected technical life is reached. One type of road pavement is flexible pavement. The research location is on the Napal village road section, which is a village road with Class III C primary local road status. Data collection at this location was carried out at Km-4 to Km-6 This research method uses two methods, the first is to calculate the equivalent number of vehicle axle loads to determine the truck factor value whether the road is overloaded or not, the second is to determine the level of road damage using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. Data collection was carried out by means of a field survey by collecting data on Average Daily Traffic (LHR), road damage in the form of road width, segment length and area of damage. This location was taken as a direct observation area to obtain primary data in the form of average daily traffic data (LHR). Based on the results of the Truck Factor analysis, the results were 3.91>1, which indicates that there is an overload on the Jalan Napal Km 4-Km 6 section. , Indragiri Hulu Regency. for the PCI value per 1000 m or 1 km from STA 4+000 – 5+000 shows the pavement is in Failed condition, while from STA 5+000 – 6+000 shows the pavement is in Very Bad condition on the Napal Peranap road section KM 4 – KM 6, Indragiri Hulu district, received a total of 1964 vehicles/day/2 directions.. Damage to The Napal Peranap road sections are: Longitudinal cracking, Alligator cracking, Patching, Potholes and Rutting. The results of research on the damage that occurred on the Napal Peranap Km4-Km6 road section showed a PCI value of 13.45, Very Poor.
