Abstract

Fillers can be obtained from the breakdown of rocks naturally or artificially. To reduce the use of natural rocks in road pavements, it is necessary to replace materials in the quality of road pavements in the form of waste or other supporting materials. As in this research, fiberglass waste is used as an innovation to make it utilize in the quality of road pavement in AC-WC mixture. This research was conducted using the marshall test method and using the 2018 Bina Marga Specification Revision 2. The percentage of the use of fiberglass filler content variations are 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by replacing some of the stone ash. Based on the research results, the optimum asphalt content is 5.45%. At 0%, 25% and 50% fiberglass filler levels, the VMA and VIM values decreased from 15.58% - 15.05% (VMA) and 4.87% - 4.29%, but at 75% and 100% levels they increased and still met the requirements of Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2 specifications. At VFB values increased at 0%, 25% and 50% fiberglass filler levels from 68.71% - 71.53% and there was a decrease at 75% and 100% levels but still met the specification requirements. The stability and flow values increased at 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% fiberglass filler levels, at 100% levels there was a decrease. The stability value meets the specifications, for the flow value at 100% does not meet the specification value of 1.80 mm.
