Abstract

In general, the use of substitute materials for concrete has been widely used, in order to obtain higher quality concrete. Basically, concrete additives are made from materials that are easy to obtain, easy to process, and have durability, such as gypsum and ceramic waste. The research aims to determine the effect of concrete compressive strength when gypsum board waste and ceramic waste are part of the cement mixture in making concrete. In this research, the experimental method was used by making cylindrical test objects with a size of (150 mm x 300 mm) totaling 18 samples. Treatment and compressive strength tests of the test objects were carried out at 28 days. Concrete compressive strength analysis was carried out using the method in SNI 7656:2012 Based on research that has been carried out with a design quality of fc' 20 Mpa, the highest compressive strength value was obtained for normal unmixed concrete with an average compressive strength value of 27.27 Mpa. In second place is normal concrete with a mixture of 12% ceramic waste with an average compressive strength value of 26.33 Mpa, this result is almost close to the highest result in concrete research. Then the lowest value in this test is normal concrete with a mixture of 12% gypsum boar waste + 12% ceramic, amounting to 17.65 Mpa. And the optimal value in this research is normal concrete with a 12% Gypsum Board mixture of 21.12 Mpa. It is hereby stated that the mixture in making concrete has a great influence on the strength of the concrete
