Abstract

The house is not only seen as a residence or dwelling, but the meaning and function of the house has a broad meaning, namely as healthy housing in a well-organized environment. Cleanliness in the house facilitated by clean water sanitation, wastewater sanitation, and waste management contributes to residential comfort. Kadiran Cipta Housing is located in Tenayan Raya sub-district which is part of Pekanbaru City. Kadiran Cipta Housing has 100 housing units with a land area of 1.5 ha. This study aims to identify the existing condition of the sanitation system in the Kadiran Cipta residential settlement, analyze the sanitation system based on requirements referring to the Indonesian National Standard as well as Government Regulations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions, preventive actions to improve the sanitation system based on Indonesian National Standards and Government Regulations. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative using literature studies in the form of books, journals and previous research as well as secondary data. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out in this study to obtain relevant information and obtain the highest possible level of reliability and validity. Based on the results of research and discussion, the sanitation system in the Kadiran Cipta residential settlement is divided into 3 types, namely; clean water sanitation system, wastewater sanitation system, and waste sanitation. Based on the results of observations and questionnaire distribution, it was obtained that the total daily clean water demand in housing is 21,120 L / day and the total daily wastewater discharge in housing is 16,896 L / day.
