Abstract

This research was motivated by the issue of low motivation for learning Arabic in third-grade students at Elementary School Islamic Plus YLPI, such as a lack of enthusiasm and understanding in learning Arabic. The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using animated videos on students' learning motivation at Elementary School Islamic Plus YLPI. The method used in this research was an experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design, including a control group. The population of this study consisted of 47 third-grade students at Elementary School Islamic Plus YLPI. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires or surveys and documentation. The data analysis technique involved using the t-test (independent and paired samples) with SPSS. The results of this research indicated a significant difference (sig 0.000) between students who used the Arabic animated video method and those who did not. Additionally, the animated video method was proven more effective in improving Arabic learning motivation, as seen in the significant level (Sig 0.008) between pre-test and post-test results.
