Abstract
This study is motivated by the public’s knowledge in Pekanbaru City regarding their interest in saving at Islamic banks. The purpose of this research is to determine the significant influence of product knowledge on customers’ interest in saving at Islamic banks in Pekanbaru. This study uses field research with a quantitative method. The population of this study is the people of Pekanbaru City, with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling techniques employed are questionnaires and observations, analyzed using simple linear regression. Data processing was conducted using SPSS 27. The partial test results show that the product knowledge variable has a t-count value of 2.412, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.98. This indicates that product knowledge has a significant effect on the public’s interest in saving at Islamic banks in Pekanbaru. The R² value of 0.056 indicates that the contribution of the product knowledge variable to saving interest is 5.6%, while the remaining 94.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
