Abstract

THE ROLE OF SPECIAL ACCOMPANYING TEACHERS (GPK) IN INCLUSION EDUCATION SERVICES IN BUKIT RAYA DISTRICT RUKIA SIREGAR 202510078 This study aims to determine the role of special assistant teachers (GPK) in inclusive education services in Bukit Raya District. This study uses a qualitative method approach with a phenomenological research type. with the number of respondents three special assistant teachers in different inclusive education, namely YLPI Marpoyan Islamic Kindergarten, Raiysah Kindergarten and Satu Bangsa Preschool Pekanbaru Kindergarten. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the role of special assistant teachers in inclusive education based on this study can be concluded that (1) special assistant teachers in three inclusive schools in Bukit Raya District agree that the role of special assistant teachers in inclusive schools is as assistants for children with special needs, (2) assistant teachers as servants for children with special needs, namely providing services to children with special needs by providing assessments of the development of children with special needs in the form of report cards containing the child's achievements for one semester. So it can be concluded that the role of special assistant teachers in inclusive education in Bukit Raya sub-district is as a companion and as a servant for children with special needs.
