Abstract

This thesis discusses the analysis of puzzle games in the cognitive development of children in Group B at TK IT Bunayya Pekanbaru. Cognitive development is the brain’s process of thinking to understand and reason, enabling children to think logically when solving problems. This study examines how children play number puzzles as part of their cognitive development at TK IT Bunayya Pekanbaru, as well as their responses during play, showing that engaging with number puzzles can enhance children's cognitive development. The research problem is formulated as follows: How is the cognitive development of children in Group B at TK IT Bunayya Pekanbaru? The purpose of this study is to determine the cognitive development of children in Group B at TK IT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data analysis is conducted in four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study are the teachers at TK IT Bunayya Pekanbaru, while the object of the study is the cognitive development of children in Group B. The results indicate that children's cognitive development related to number puzzle games includes cognitive growth, children's experiences, creative attitudes, exploratory activities, classification of objects based on color, shape, and size, as well as the initiative of the children.
