Abstract
This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the class VI History of Islamic Culture subject at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ikhwan Pekanbaru by applying the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type Cooperative Learning learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research results show that the application of the STAD model significantly improves student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average student score increased compared to the pre-cycle results, even though they had not yet reached the classical completion level. In the second cycle, further improvement was seen, with the majority of students achieving scores above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). In addition, student activity in learning has also increased, reflecting success in increasing group participation and interaction. This research concludes that the STAD learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes, especially in the Islamic Cultural History subject. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for teachers to implement a more interactive and participatory learning model.
