Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF SELF-AWARENESS ON LEARNING DISCIPLINE AMONG GRADE X STUDENTS AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 KANDIS By SRIANA 202410193 This study was motivated by the issue of learning discipline among Grade X students at Senior High School 1 Kandis, where some students lacked discipline in learning due to insufficient self-awareness to follow the rules during the teaching and learning process. The study aimed to determine the influence of self-awareness on the learning discipline of Grade X students at Senior High School 1 Kandis. This quantitative research used a correlational approach with a sample of 136 students. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation. The study consisted of two variables: X (self-awareness) and Y (learning discipline). The hypothesis test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating an influence of self-awareness on the learning discipline of Grade X students. The degree of influence was reflected in the R square value of 0.205 or 20.5%, categorized as "low." This indicated that 20.5% of students' learning discipline was influenced by self-awareness. Thus, the study concluded that self-awareness significantly affected the learning discipline of Grade X students at Senior High School 1 Kandis. Therefore, it is crucial to enhance self-awareness to further improve students' learning discipline. Future researchers are encouraged to explore other factors influencing learning discipline beyond self-awareness.
