Abstract
THE EFFECT OF SELF-REGULATED LEARNING (SRL)-BASED INSTRUCTION ON STUDENTS' LEARNING INDEPENDENCE IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION SUBJECT AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 2 TAPUNG HULU RAULI BR SIMBOLON 202410191 This study aimed to determine and analyze the effect of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL)-based instruction on students' learning independence in the Islamic Education subject at Vocational High School 2 Tapung Hulu. The research employed a quantitative approach. The population consisted of students enrolled in the Islamic Education subject at the school. The sampling technique used was Systematic Random Sampling, a method based on specific considerations. A total of 45 respondents were selected as the sample. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. The data analysis techniques included descriptive quantitative analysis and Simple Linear Regression Analysis, performed using SPSS version 25. The results revealed that self-regulated learning had a positive and significant effect on learning independence in the Islamic Education subject at Vocational High School 2 Tapung Hulu. This finding demonstrated that higher levels of self-regulated learning could enhance students' learning independence.
