Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTING STYLES ON ADOLESCENT MORALS IN INDRASAKTI VILLAGE, TAPUNG DISTRICT, KAMPAR REGENCY BY: ELSA UMMU NAIFA SITOPU 202410189 This study was motivated by the moral problem of teenagers in Indrasakti village, Tapung district, Kampar regency, more precisely in RW 02. This was characterized by the presence of some teenagers whose bad manners in society. With several signs of behaviors such as: being irritability, lack of respect for parents, rudeness, lack of discipline and worship, falling into promiscuous behavior and other deviant behaviors which have been possessed by most of the teenagers in the village. The study aimed to investigate the influence of parenting styles on adolescent morals in Indrasakti village, Tapung district, Kampar regency. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population and sample of the study were 42 respondents. The results of the study showed that based on the results of the hypothesis testing, it was found that a significance value of 0.000<0.05, meaning that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and there was an influence of parenting styles on the adolescent morals in Indrasakti village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The magnitude of the influence in the summary table showed that the R-squared value of 0.359 or 35.9%. It can be concluded that the adolescent morals were influenced by the parenting styles by 35.9% or in the "low" category.
