Abstract
THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TEACHERS IN ENHANCING STUDENTS' INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE AT ISLAMIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL NURUL JADID TAPUNG SUBDISTRICT KAMPAR REGENCY By: YUNNI ASRI NPM: 202410115 The general purpose of education was to create an environment that enabled students to develop their intelligence, including interpersonal intelligence. However, many students still exhibited low interpersonal intelligence, as indicated by a lack of empathy towards peers, poor communication skills, and limited understanding of social ethics and situations. A preliminary study at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid revealed that some students struggled with interpersonal conflicts, such as difficulties in interacting with peers and teachers, inability to collaborate effectively, and communication issues, which were evident in their passive behavior during learning activities. This study, titled "The Role of Islamic Education Teachers in Enhancing Students' Interpersonal Intelligence at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid, Tapung Sub-district, Kampar Regency," aimed to explore the role of Islamic Education teachers in improving students' interpersonal intelligence. Conducted at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid, the study focused on the teachers as subjects and their role as objects, using interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis involved reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated that Islamic Education teachers enhanced students' interpersonal intelligence through ten approaches: humanistic engagement, instilling religious values, fostering social awareness, facilitating active learning, developing ethical communication, role modeling, effective classroom management, cooperative learning, promoting positive habits, and utilizing instructional media.
