Abstract
THE EFFORTS OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TEACHERS IN IMPROVING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 133 PEKANBARU OLEH RAHMIAPRIDARIANTI 202410049 The problem in this study was the low academic achievement of students, which had declined, leading to a lack of enthusiasm among students to improve their academic performance. Teachers tended to use theory in teaching rather than direct practice. The research question in this study was how teachers attempted to improve student achievement at Elementary School 133 Pekanbaru and whether there was an increase in student achievement at the school. The aim of this study was to describe the efforts of Islamic Education teachers at Elementary School 133 Pekanbaru in improving student performance and to identify any challenges faced in enhancing students' academic achievements at the school. This study was qualitative, using a case study approach. It was conducted to understand the efforts of Islamic Education teachers to improve student performance at Elementary School 133 Pekanbaru, based on methodology that investigated a social phenomenon and human issues. The students used a variety of methods to improve their Islamic Subject academic performance, along with other methods. This approach emphasized the socially constructed nature of reality and the close relationship between the researcher and the subjects. The study aimed to produce high-achieving, morally exemplary students by implementing Islamic education at Elementary School 133 Pekanbaru. Thus, the presence of teachers was critical to the success of an educational institution; without teachers, educational goals would not be achieved. There was also encouragement from the students themselves to achieve success in improving their academic performance.
