Abstract

THE STRATEGIES OF ISLAMIC STUDIES TEACHERS IN INSTALLING CHARACTER VALUES IN STUDENTS AT SDN 20 KUALA GASIB BY: SYAWALI SAFITRI 202410048 Islamic Studies teachers have a big role in instilling character values ??in their students, the teachers have a very strategic position as the main actors. The attitude and behavior of a teacher really make an impression on his/her students, so that the teacher’s character and personality become a reflection of the students. The teachers have a big responsibility in producing a generation with character, culture and morals. However, there are still many students who cannot apply character values ??in the school environment or at home. Therefore, the writer was interested in doing a study entitled The Strategies of Islamic Studies teachers in instilling character values ??in students at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib. The study aimed to find out the strategies of Islamic Studies teachers in instilling character values ??in their students and to find out what character values ??have been instilled in students at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib. This was a qualitative study with a case study approach. The study was conducted at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib. The subject of the study was the Islamic Studies Teachers at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib and the object of the study was the strategies of Islamic Studies teacher in instilling character values ??in students at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib. There were two kinds of informants of the study, namely, the key informants and the supporting informants. The data collection technique of the study was interview technique. The data processing technique was conducted with reduction, data display, data verification. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there are 2 strategies of Islamic Studies teachers in instilling character values ??in students at SDN 20 Kuala Gasib, namely: the teachers always provide good role models for their students so that they can imitate and apply them in everyday life; and the teachers have another strategy by enforcing discipline in order to apply the character value of loving the environment.
