Abstract

In the Street Ahmad Yani Corridor, Pekanbaru City, there are many problems related to pedestrian facilities which can cause conflicts between pedestrians and traffic flow which can cause obstacles, congestion, and endanger road users.In this regard, the purpose of this research is:providing arrangement of pedestrian facilities for Jalan Ahmad Yani, Pekanbaru City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a deductive research approach.Seand to analyze the characteristics of pedestrians based on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) 2000 standard. Meanwhile, to analyze pedestrian facilities based on the standards of the Minister of Public Works Regulation Number: 03/PRT/M/2014. Based on the results of field observations and analysis it was identified that the existing pedestrian paths on the Tuanku Tambusai street corridor were still not good, in general the condition of the pedestrian paths was in a condition that was unfit for use for pedestrians and the lack of supporting elements on the pedestrian path (Street Furniture) from the results of the analysis showed that pedestrian paths that have uneven width and are used by street vendors and illegal parking reduce the comfort and safety of pedestrian paths.
