Abstract

THE EFFECT OF JIGSAW COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL ON LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION FOR AQIDAH AKHLAK SUBJECT IN GRADE VIII STUDENTS AT MTS NURUL JADID TAPUNG By NOVA IRAWATI 202410004 This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Aqidah Akhlak subject for Grade VIII at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid Tapung. To address this issue, the Jigsaw cooperative learning model was implemented, which involved a learning process where several groups collaborated. The research problem was formulated as follows: Is there an effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak for Grade VIII students at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid Tapung? The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak for Grade VIII students at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid Tapung. This study employed a quantitative correlational research design. The population consisted of all Grade VIII students at Islamic Junior High School Nurul Jadid Tapung, and the sample was selected using saturated sampling, encompassing the entire population of 71 students. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. The results of the study indicated that the hypothesis stating the influence of Jigsaw learning model on learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak for Grade VIII students was accepted, with a significance value of 0.000. The students' learning outcomes prior to the implementation of the Jigsaw method averaged 3.759. Meanwhile, the regression coefficient for variable X was 0.692, indicating that each application of the Jigsaw method contributed to improving learning outcomes by 69.2%.
