Abstract
PREDICTION OF LAND USE IN MARPOYAN DAMAI DISTRICT, PEKANBARU CITY IN 2021-2031 MAULINA SUTJI ZULYANTI 173410376 ABSTRACT The purpose of study is to predict land use change in Marpoyan Damai district from 2021-2031. Changes in land use are based on supporting factors (physical, social and economic) and inhibiting factors (characteristics of land owners and land use regulations). This research uses a deductive approach with an exploratory research type. The method is quantitative descriptive. This research uses Google Earth image data which has been interpreted using Arcgis and Qgis software using the Cellular Automata method which is used to predict land use in Marpoyan Damai District in 2021-2031. Prediction land use in Marpoyan Damai District in 2021-2031 requires 3 multi-temporal maps for 2011, 2016 and 2021, which will be analyzed using the Overlay method. Other inputs are road maps and existing land maps. Land use predictions are obtained using the Cellular Automata method using Mollusce software. The research results are 2 land uses that are increasing in area, namely settlements and trade in services. It is predicted that in 2031 residential buildings will have an additional 72.63 Ha with a total area of 1410.93 Ha and an additional 26.55 Ha for trade in service buildings with a total area of 171.27 Ha. Based on the area matrix, the transition variables that affect land use are distance to main roads, distance to educational facilities, distance to industry and distance to empty land..
