Abstract

During the WWTP construction process stage and after the construction stage at several points in Pekanbaru City, it creates different perceptions among various groups of society. The ongoing construction of the IPAL is causing traffic jams due to drilling carried out on the road. Also at the stage after the IPAL work, at several points it causes several problems such as dust that spreads and becomes pollution and also uneven roads. In this research, Sukajadi District is the main location because several IPAL construction points are still under construction, such as on Jalan Cempaka and Jalan Mangga, and some have been completed but still cause various problems, such as on Jalan KH. Ahmad Dahlan and Jalan Melati. This research method uses a qualitative method to determine the public's perception of the impact of the construction of the IPAL in Sukajadi District and to determine the form of government supervision of the construction of the IPAL in Sukajadi District. Based on the results of distributing questionnaires from a total of 138 respondents, on average they answered in agreement with the negative impacts of IPAL construction in Sukajadi District. The public's perception of the impact of the IPAL construction in Sukajadi District in terms of environmental impact, accessibility impact, and economic impact from each question in the questionnaire answered in the affirmative that the dust pollution resulting from the construction of the IPAL had a very negative impact on the surrounding community. Then traffic jams and longer travel times to the destination are caused by the excavation of the IPAL, and also the excavation of the IPAL makes it difficult for buyers to shop at shops/stalls located on the side of the road near the area of the IPAL excavation road
