Abstract
Energy is eternal, which means that energy cannot be created and cannot be lost (destroyed). However, energy can change into another form of energy. For example, motion energy becomes electrical energy, such as the blades that move a turbine to produce electricity. Therefore, the need for alternative electrical energy is a strategic target in meeting electricity needs, among the energy sources that have great potential in meeting electricity needs are solar energy, biomass, geothermal energy and others. Sports equipment (gym device) is a tool used by someone to maintain and improve fitness and maintain an ideal body weight. The existence of places providing sports equipment (gyms) has mushroomed in various places. Therefore, this research developed a type of exercise equipment that is often used to train the heart and several other body muscles, namely the TL 008 fitness equipment. To increase the efficiency of electricity production through sports equipment. Where the results of the gear are obtained, namely at a load of 5 kg at 4.48 m/s. From the results, the electrical power for a 5 kg load is 1.8 watts. Therefore, the results obtained from the Mechanical Power at a load of 5 kg are 220 watts. Meanwhile, the results of efficiency at a load of 5 kg are 0.81%
