Abstract

This research aimed to explore and analyze Ibn Khaldun's perception on Arabic linguistics as documented in his work, the "Mukaddimah." Using philological and historical approaches, the study traced the linguistic concepts introduced by Ibn Khaldun and identified their impact on the understanding of Arabic linguistics during his time. Through text analysis, this research also highlighted the relevance of Ibn Khaldun's thoughts in the context of the development of Arabic linguistic studies, contributing to our understanding of his intellectual legacy in the field of linguistics
