Abstract

CHARACTER BUILDING THROUGH THE ONE-NIGHT ACTIVITIES OF IMAN AND TAQWA DEVELOPMENT FOR STUDENTS IN CLASS VIII AT SMP IT INSAN UTAMA 2 PEKANBARU BY: NANDA SANTANA ZASY 182410299 This study was motivated by the character building through one-night activities of the faith (iman) and piety (taqwa) development for students in class VIII at SMP IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. The aims of the study was to investigate the character building through the one-night activities of faith and piety development for students and the factors that influence character building through the one-night activities of faith and piety development for students. The type of the study was qualitative descriptive research. The object of the study was the Islamic Studies Teachers at SMP IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru, while the object of the study was the character building through the one-night activities of faith and piety developmen for students in class VIII at SMP IT Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. The results of the study showed that the Islamic Studies teachers played an active role in building character through the one-night activities of faith and piety development as facilitators, motivators, triggers, designers and inspirators. Factors influencing the character building through the one-night activities of faith and piety development for students in class VIII at SMP IT Insan Utama II Pekanbaru were: Religiousity, Discipline, Independence, Care, Achievement Appreciation and Responsibility.
