Abstract

This study aimed to find out how sellers at Ulul Albab Sharia Market understand about Islamic Economics. The data collection techniques of the study were documentation and interviews. The data sources of the study were from primary data and secondary data. The type of the study was field research. In the data collection process, the researcher interviewed 12 (twelve) informants consisting of 8 (eight) Muslim sellers, 2 (two) non-Muslim sellers and 2 (two) administrators of Ulul Albab market. The results of the study showed that the survey of Ulul Albab market sellers in understanding Islamic economics based on the pillars and terms of sharia buying and selling, based on the overall conclusion that the sellers at Ulul Albab market did not understand the pillars of buying and selling, especially about the ijab qabul contract and the object of the contract according to (Zuhaili, 1989: 92) and also some sellers still did not understand the terms of buying and selling in a harmonious contract, causing the contract to become a façade and the terms of buying and selling are broken. According to Musa (AlAhkam al-Mu'amalah, 1994:241-244) to the sellers at Ulul Albab market.
