Abstract

Children aged 5-6 years experience limitations in gross motor skills, including balance, agility and strength. This study aims to investigate the development and feasibility of the traditional game of jumping rope (loli) to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years. The method of the study is Research and Development (RnD), which produces a product and test the effectiveness of the product. The data analysis technique of the study is a quantitative descriptive method. The data analysis for product feasibility uses an assessment of the results obtained from product design experts and material experts in the form of a questionnaire instrument, the resulting product development is in the form of a traditional jump rope game made of wood with a height of 50 cm and a rope as a binding used as a learning medium to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years. The results of product and material design validation is included in the "very feasible" category. Therefore, the development of the traditional game of jumping rope is very suitable to be used to improve the children’s gross motor skills aged 5-6 years.
