Abstract

STRATEGY OF NATIONAL ZAKAT COLLECTION AGENCY (BAZNAS) IN INCREASING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF PAYING ZAKAT, INFAQ, ALMS (ZIS) IN ROKAN HULU REGENCY MUHAMMAD FIKRI NPM: 192310304 This research is motivated by the large role of Zakat, Infaq and Shadaqah in improving the community's economy. Optimal management of Zakat, Infaq and Shadaqah through the National Zakat Collection Agency (BAZNAS) is expected to reduce poverty levels and equalize wealth. The lack of public awareness to channel zakat, infaq and shadaqah to the Zakat Collection Agency can be seen from the amount of funds collected. The amount of funds is not yet optimal considering that the majority of the community is Muslim. This research was conducted at BAZNAS Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is BAZNAS' Strategy in increasing public awareness of paying Zakat, Infaq, Alms (ZIS) in Rokan Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out how BAZNAS' Strategy is in increasing public awareness of paying Zakat, Infaq, Alms (ZIS) in Rokan Hulu Regency. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is an approach to a phenomenon that observes and examines certain problems or conditions that are the object of research. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, interviews and documentation. Then the collected data is analyzed using qualitative descriptive theory, using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Informants in this study were staff and Muzakki BAZNAS Rokan Hulu Regency. Based on the data analysis conducted by the author on the results of interviews with informants, it was found that the Direct Fundraising Strategy carried out by BAZNAS Rokan Hulu was quite optimal in accordance with the theory in the form of Direct Mail, Direct advertising, TeleFundrising and direct presentations, while the Indirect Fundraising Strategy carried out by BAZNAS was already optimal, where BAZNAS had carried out Adventorials, Image Compaign and participated in events.
