Abstract

Pneumatics in industry is often used to drive machinery and equipment, pressurized air is generated by an air compressor and stored in an air tank, then pressurized air is flowed through pipes and hoses to the pneumatic system. The purpose of this study Pneumatic is used as a drive system on a briquette cutting machine, a proximity sensor is used to detect the presence of briquettes to be cut and a double cylinder actuator to cut briquettes coming out of the funnel, placed in the funnel section of the briquette printer. The electrical is assembled on a panel box, placed on the side of the briquetting cylinder to avoid the entry of charcoal and water during operation and cleaning of the briquette printer, Briquettes produced using this pneumatic system with a pressure of 0.2 Mpa, 0, 3 Mpa and 0.4 Mpa, the same in each minute is 14 briquettes, but at 1 hour the briquettes produced are different, namely 0.2 Mpa 855 briquettes, 0.3 Mpa 865 briquettes, and 0.4 Mpa 895 briquettes, this is due to the difference in time when cutting briquettes for each pressure.
