Abstract

Fraud is one of the crimes that can be subject to criminal sanctions. With the development of the era, the modes of fraud have also been varied. This criminal act of fraud has occurred several times in the jurisdiction of the Polsek. So to see efforts to overcome this criminal act of fraud can not only be based on the perspective of criminal law, but must also be seen from a criminological study. Criminological studies to be able to describe it comprehensively, so that criminal acts of fraud can be handled effectively. The main problem in this study is what factors cause the emergence of fraud crimes that occur in the jurisdiction of the Senapelan Polsek and what actions are taken by law enforcement in overcoming fraud crimes in the jurisdiction of the Senapelan Polsek. The research method used in this study is a Survey, while the nature of this study is descriptive. The population in this study namely the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senapelan Polsek and the investigator of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Senapelan Polsek with the sampling technique using Accidental Sampling and the data collection tool used was an interview. From the results of the author's research, it is known that the factors that cause fraud crimes influence various factors, including community factors, cultural factors and environmental factors. The ease of perpetrators of criminal acts because of the opportunities from the community itself which is easily tempted by the mode or lure given by the perpetrator, easy to believe and lack of knowledge, as a result, perpetrators of criminal acts can easily take advantage of the situation by having such tricks, and efforts to enforce the law on fraud crimes carried out by law enforcers are preventive efforts and repressive efforts. Efforts made using peaceful efforts in order to carry out deliberations first between the two parties, in this case the community is given knowledge and tries to understand the values and/or norms that apply to the community itself. Enforcement efforts by anticipating the situation where the deliberation is carried out to realize community behavior, so that the community does not lose its spirit as a Pancasila state.
