Abstract

Analysis of Handling Slums in Tanjung Rhu Village, Fifty City District, Pekanbaru By: Abal Ikram Sujana 163410145 Tanjung Rhu Sub-District is one of the sub-districts which is included in the slum area in the Fifty District of Pekanbaru City. The area of Tanjung Rhu Village is 1.68 km2. The very high housing needs are still not properly met. Housing developments that are developing are less integrated and harmonious with the functions of the surrounding area. Availability of inadequate infrastructure such as for waste management and availability of clean water. The aim of the study was to determine the arrangement of slum settlements in Tanjung Rhu District, Fifty City District, Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, questionnaires, documentation, surveys, and literature review. Qualitative descriptive analysis techniques were used to identify the existing conditions of slum settlements in Tanjung Rhu Village, Fifty City District, Pekanbaru and identify directions for handling slum areas in Tanjung Rhu Village, Fifty City District, Pekanbaru. The results of this study indicate that the existing conditions of slum settlements are identified by looking at the description of slum areas, building conditions, environmental roads, drinking water supply, environmental drainage, waste water management and waste management as well as directions for handling slum areas in Tanjung Rhu Village, Fifty City District of Pekanbaru by holding the stage of coordination and absorption of aspirations as well as a directive plan for improving the quality of infrastructure.Handling, Settlements, Slums
