Abstract
ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF TAHSIN METHOD ON STUDENTS’ ABILITIES TO RECITE THE QUR'AN OF 2021 ADMISSION AT THE FACULTY OF ISLAMIC STUDIES, ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU DARUS SAMI 172410149 This study is motivated by the problem of the ability to recite the Qur'an that occurs among students of Islamic Education Study Program, the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Riau. The low ability to recite the Qur'an can be seen from several sigs, namely: 1) There are some students who still stammer reciting the verses of the Qur'an; 2) There are some students who are less able to recite the Qur'an with good and correct recitation; abd 3) There are some students who are still unable to pronounce the makhrijul letters properly and correctly. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of the Tahsin Method on students’ abilities to recite the Qur'an of 2021 admission at the Islamic Education Study Program, the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Riau. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The total population of this study consists of 153 students. The sampling technique of the study is the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. The number of samples taken is 110 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documents. From the results of the hypothesis test analysis with a significance value of p = 0.000 < 0.05, it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the tahsin method on the students’ abilities to recite the Quran of 2021 admission at the Islamic Education Study Program, Islamic University of Riau. The magnitude of the influence can be seen in the summary table with an R-squared value of 0.994 (99.4%). It means that the ability to recite the Qur'an is influenced by the tahsin method by 99.4% with a very strong category. In conclusion, there is an influence of Tahsin Method on students’ abilities to recite the Qur'an of 2021 admission at the Islamic Education Study Program, the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Riau.
