Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of the employee empowerment model at Indonesian Sharia Bank (BSI) of Sudirman 1 Branch Office in Pekanbaru. This study applies quantitative descriptive analysis. The data source of the study is the primary data, that is the data obtained directly from the source by distributing questionnaires. The data collection technique of the study is questionnaire. The sample of the study consists of 35 respondents taken by the totally sampling method (Saturated Sample). The results of the study show that The Indonesian Sharia Bank (BSI) of Sudirman 1 Branch Office in Pekanbaru has succeeded in empowering employees in line with the 6 dimensions of the empowerment model proposed by Sharafat Khan. From the results of data analysis, the employee empowerment at BSI of Sudirman 1 Branch Office in Pekanbaru is in the strongly agree and agree categories with a percentage of 89%. From the percentage results, the employees agree that the company is successful in empowering the employees. Empowering employees with the highest percentage is in confident dimension. The company delegates tasks based on the operational standards, gives employees the opportunity to express ideas in holding briefings, it means that the confident dimension has been implemented well, which has an average value of 4.49%. Meanwhile, the empowerment which has the lowest percentage is the accountability dimension. The company is expected to develop more innovative work evaluations through trainings. The average value of accountability is 4.37%. In general, the company has implemented the Desire dimension with an average of 4.4%, the Trust dimension with an average of 4.45%, the credibility dimension with 4.45% and the communication dimension with an average of 4.4%. The implementation of the Empowerment Model at BSI of Sudirman 1 Branch Office in Pekanbaru has already included in the good category.
