Abstract

In English, a strategy means a tactic, a program or a plan. In the discussion of teaching and learning Process, the strategy means procedures or implementation steps to achieve the goals that have been set. In this case, a learning strategy is also an alternative for a teacher in providing learning motivation for students. A strategy of learning motivation is a plan for motivation which contains a series of activities specifically designed and planned to achieve certain educational goals. The success of an educational process is determined by the achievement of a learning objective and the change in attitude resulting from the learning process towards students. Therefore, to achieve the goals of the desired educational program, it must be in accordance with educational values. In this regard, the teachers are expected to have several motivational learning strategies that can arouse students to learn comfortably, fun and not monotonous. In this case, the implementation of the strategies of Islamic Studies Teachers have not maximized at SDN 015 Pasir Keranji, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. To achieve the goals of increasing student motivation, the better efforts are needed from the teachers in implementing motivational strategies and learning procedures that are in accordance with the competencies. This is a qualitative descriptive study, it is a study that describes the actual situation of the phenomenon of the object being studied and compared with the theory that is appropriate to the problems of the study. The aim of the study is: To find out how the strategies of Islamic Studies teachers to increase student learning motivation in class V at SDN 015 Pasir Keranji, Indragiri Hulu Regency, the results of the study show that 64.29% of increasing in student learning motivation, or 61%, so that it can be categorized as “Maximum”.
