Abstract

This research was motivated by the system of renting Syar'i bridal attire conducted by Boutique Zahwa Gallery. Additionally, the boutique implemented a system where the down payment would be forfeited in case of transaction cancellation by prospective customers. Renting (ijarah) is a contract for transferring the right to use goods and services through payment of rent, without transferring ownership (milkiyah) of the goods themselves. The research problem was formulated as follows: how was the practice of renting Syar'i bridal attire at Boutique Zahwa Gallery in Pekanbaru viewed from the perspective of Muamalah Fiqh? This study employed field research techniques, including data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Subsequently, the collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this research indicated that the practice of renting and (ijarah) conducted by Boutique Zahwa Gallery was in accordance with Muamalah Fiqh, as it fulfilled the conditions and requirements of ijara.
