Abstract

ABSTRACT THE UTILIZATION OPTIMIZATION OF PRODUCTIVE ZAKAT FUNDS THROUGH SHEEP FARMING OF THE NATIONAL AMIL ZAKAT INSTITUTION (LAZNAS) BY DOMPET DHUAFA RIAU BY: FADIL L A MANDAS ARI 192310326 This study is motivated by the existence of a sheep livestock center established by Dompet Dhuafa through the utilization of productive zakat funds, whereas the Dompet Dhuafa Riau still finds difficulty to meet the market needs. The utilization of zakat funds is a form of utilization of resources (zakat funds) maximally so that it can be effective in achieving benefits for the people. The study aims to investigate how to optimize the utilization of productive zakat funds through sheep farming at the National Amil Zakat Institution (LAZNAS) by Dompet Dhuafa Riau. The data collection technique of the study is an interview system with several informants. This is a qualitative study. Based on the results of the study on the utilization optimation of productive zakat funds through Sheep farming Businesses of the Nasional Amil Zakat Institution (LAZNAS) by Dompet Dhuafa Riau, it can be concluded that it is still not enough, because from 2021 to 2022 the number of sheep distributed has decreased drastically, so breeding steps is carried out in 2023 to optimize the utilization of zakat funds at the livestock center of Dompet Dhuafa Riau so that the sheep livestock center can meet the increasing market needs. By having breeding at the sheep livestock center, the expenditure of existing zakat funds can be minimized, whereas the zakat funds for sheep livestock center can be more focused on caring for and meeting the needs of livestock for the food and health. Therefore, it can reduce the mortality rate of the livestock and fulfill the sheep standards for distribution. Keywords:
